Solutions for Consultants – Whatever you need

The following are just a few examples of the kind of services available to you.

Accountancy & Tax Returns - We can offer a full range of accountancy, tax and financial advice along with a tax return service through our sister company SWC Management Services.

PayNet Service - CPM People offers a solution (employee payroll service) to enable those contractors working in the UK to join our UK payroll and ensure full appropriate and proper treatment of their income in the UK, including correct deductions of tax and all mandatory social premiums on a weekly or monthly basis.  Comprehensive statements and payslips are made available to contractors to record the information fully and often texts can be sent to contractor’s phones confirming the payment of their net income into their nominated bank accounts.  CPM People’s charge rate is usually 2.75% of the gross sums transacted for providing a Net Pay service.  This service is for those who might otherwise operate through a limited company or on an agency basis.  With CPM People’s PayNet Service, contractors can still claim expenses; enabling them to operate in the same highly tax efficient manner as operating through their own company BUT without the administrative responsibilities and hassle. 

International PayNet Service - Similarly CPM People run a once-weekly (every week of the calendar year) payroll for each of the countries in which we operate and include contractors thereon at the very earliest time (assuming that endorsed appropriate timesheets and payments have been received).  International PayNet ensures that all tax in the specific country of work is taken care of and that all mandatory deductions in that country are calculated and deducted from gross income.  Charges vary dependent upon the country and term of the contractor’s assignment contract. 

Personal Service Company (PSC – for UK-based workers) - A personal service company (PSC) is an Ltd company setup in the UK giving you the independence to handle your own affairs. This method of working is for contract work in the UK and abroad.  Forming your own company means that you will be running your own business. You will decide on the name of the company and become the director, operate the company bank account, and be responsible for the affairs of the company.

If you contract is not caught by IR35 legislation, this can be a very tax efficient way of working
You have complete control of your financial affairs and company matters;
You are running your own business so you can undertake other work outside your normal contract role;
You can legitimately claim a wider range of expenses (training, equipment, software, etc);
Contractor status, as you will be seen to be “representing” the company and “running a business” with its own trading name.

We will provide a registered company address as well as company secretarial duties, and will help you to handle PAYE, VAT, expenses and producing Company Returns.

AüG - An abbreviation for „Arbeitnehmerüberlassungsgesetz“ - this is a German law which regulates the way a company can transfer its employees to work temporarily with another company within Germany. This practice requires a licence called an AUG Licence.  The AUG licence is administered by the Bundesagentur für Arbeit in Nürnberg, Germany (Federal Employment Agency) and it is a legal requirement that any management company or other entity ‘hiring out’ personnel to a German organisation hold such a licence.  CPM People has held an AUG Licence since 2007 and CPM People staff are fully familiar with the many aspects of the legal and compliance issues surrounding this particular solution.  Consultants will often find if they are to undertake an assignment in Germany that the client will insist on an “AUG” solution.  CPM People have extensive experience in placing Consultants to satisfy this particular requirement.

CPM ExpressPayTM  - This unique service sees CPM People pay you immediately upon receipt of your signed timesheet, ensuring you always receive your salary on time, and saving you the hassle of having to chase payments from employers and agencies.

Childcare Vouchers - We understand how difficult it can be to balance work with family life. That’s why we introduced the Childcare Vouchers scheme for all our consultants.

Childcare vouchers can be used to pay for registered or approved childcare for children up to the age of 15 (or 16 if they are disabled). Taking them as part of your salary instead of cash is a tax efficient way of ensuring your family gets the support it needs.

HMRC dispensation (expenses remittance) - We’ll make your life easier by reimbursing you for any business expenses incurred wholly and exclusively in the performance of your duties. All you need do is submit a completed Expenses Claim Form together with the appropriate tax invoices/receipts, just as you would if you were a permanent employee.
