Meet the team – The real CPM people

A Chartered Certified Accountant with over 20 years taxation and management experience, Solomon founded CPM just over a decade ago. Prior to that he held senior positions with chartered accountancy practices in London and Hertfordshire, as well as within the marketing arm of Volkswagen UK.

Specialising in taxation and remuneration management in the UK and overseas, he holds an MBA from Cranfield University, and also taught for several years on the MBA programme at Warwick University Business School.

Over the Summer of 2012, Solomon handed the day-to-day running of the Company over to Paul Sleath. But of course, he remains just as committed to ensuring CPM People grows and develops in his role as Chairman as he ever was. Solomon retains financial control of the company putting his professional qualifications and experience at the heart and soul of CPM People.

Looking back over his CV – and in particular, the comments his old colleagues have made about him – we knew Paul wasn’t going to be content with simply joining CPM. We knew he’d want to be an active part of it; to help shape our future for many years to come… And that’s what he’s doing. Paul was the only person in the frame to take over as CPM People MD. Not bad going for a man who’s just celebrating his first anniversary with the company!

Paul has financial industry experience in contractors’ payroll solutions, expatriate tax laws, and devising personal taxation and accountancy solutions for SMEs. He’s achieved great things in a number of high profile positions within the industry over the last five years. All excellent preparation for his role today.  So, here’s to a long and successful partnership. Just one word of warning: Paul’s a stickler for making things better. His devotion to continual process refinements can make working with him a slightly giddy experience. But all the more rewarding.

Paul also recently completed his Prince 2 foundation and practioner qualification in project management.

But Paul brings all of those qualities that made him the ideal choice as Head of Sales and Marketing to his new role as MD. All that tenacity and drive; the sharp focus and the industry insight.

And there’s no sign of revolution. After all, if it ain’t broke… CPM People will continue along the same lines – and continue to set impeccable standards in our dealings with clients, agencies and contractors.

Sally joined CPM People with a wealth of valuable experience, not only as a senior level PA but also in developing and running her own successful business.   Sally's role is to ensure that contracts work smoothly for clients, agencies and contractors.   And, believe us... that's a big job!  

A pivotal member of our UK team, she plays a key role in helping to develop links with internationally based intermediaries and end-user client companies, finding ample opportunity to put her skills in French and German to excellent use.   Sally also recently completed a payroll course, meaning she is now a CIPP certified payroll technician - and achieved 100% in her final module!

Dan’s got the kind of pedigree we wanted as our Finance Manager, he joined CPM in June 2012 and was quickly promoted to his current role as Finance Manager in December.

He has almost ten years experience in accountancy, including at a financial management firm and has extensive experience of working with agencies; is absolutely au fait with tax laws here, there and everywhere, and is hyper-efficient.

Perfect grounding for getting to grips with international taxation, and all the issues surrounding cross-border employment.
